How to upgrade to latest version of EPS?

Quick Heal Endpoint Security Multi-server installation is a unique feature through which the administrator can install Quick Heal Endpoint Security 5.3 on a system where an older version of Quick Heal (EPS/Admin Console) is already installed. This feature enables Administrators to easily upgrade to Quick Heal Endpoint Security 5.3 by taking simple steps.
 
To upgrade to Quick Heal Endpoint Security 5.3, follow the below steps:

1. Install Quick Heal Endpoint Security 5.3 on the system where old EPS/Admin Console is already installed.

2. Quick Heal Endpoint Security 5.3 will detect the existing old EPS/Admin Console and will show the following prompt:

3. Click Yes to proceed with multiserver installation.

4. Upon completion of installation of the new version Quick Heal Endpoint Security 5.3, open the old Quick Heal EPS/Admin  Console and follow the below steps:

- Click Administrator Settings -> Click Admin Server.
- In the Server Name/IP textbox, type the Server Name or IP Address of     the system on which the new version of Quick Heal EPS is installed.
- Type the port number of the new EPS in Port text-box. (the default port is
   5044)
- Click Apply.

5. This will send a notification to all Quick Heal clients about the new version of Quick Heal Endpoint Security 5.3 and all Quick Heal clients will be redirected to the new version Quick Heal Endpoint Security 5.3

6. The new version of Quick Heal Endpoint Security 5.3 will check for any old clients in the network. Upon detection, Quick Heal Endpoint Security 5.3 will automatically uninstall existing old clients and after the client systems are restarted, it will install new clients of Quick Heal Endpoint Security 5.3.

7. Once all the clients are upgraded, you can uninstall the old Quick Heal EPS/Admin Console from  the system.

Note: Untick "Uninstall Apache Web server"option during uninstallation process.

9. Before uninstallation, note down the Product key and activation number of your Quick Heal EPS/Admin Console, as you will need it for reactivation of new Quick Heal EPS.

10. After uninstallation of old Quick Heal EPS/Admin Console, reactivate new Quick Heal Endpoint Security 5.3 with your existing Product key and activation number.

While uninstalling previous Admin Console please make sure that the "Uninstall Apache" option in the Uninstallation Wizard is un-checked before proceeding with uninstallation, as EPS 5.0 also requires apache to work.
